never far behind

2nd day at the assisi hospice! I found out that i was working with a team of medical social workers(MSD) who actually are social workers taking care of those terminally ill and waiting for their time to come. Their main duty is to fufill any last wishes they have and also to accompany them or basically to just be their friend and take care of them. How noble of them to devote their lives to this meaningful job which serves to brighten up the lives of others in distress. I really admire them who are willing to sacrifice so much just to fufill a patient's needs. They are willing to use their only spare time, the weekends, to go out of their way to help the patients at the hospice. It is defintely heart warming and glad to know that there is someone out there who cares for u, even it is a stranger for that matter. This is where i find the volunteer work meaningful and life enriching. From the hospice, we get to learn many life lessons and never to belittle the days that we are granted by god's grace!

Anyway, today i learnt how to clean the wheel chair. LOL.. cleaning the wheel chairs made me perspire until my whole shirt was soaked lar! But i managed to clean 2 wheel chairs in less than 3 hours. not bad already for a first timer! hehe ;) Havta thank wai tsun for his instructions and his guidance in this aspect. ari-ka-toh! LOL!
So after today's experience, i have to teach a bunch of secondary kids i presume on thur how to clean wheel chairs.. This is as part of their CIP commitment.. not bad eh.. so fast promote to become a teacher alrady! woots. i must be a good teacher for about one and the half hours! Anything they leave hanging will have to be cleaned by me! zzz so they better do a good job on thur! OH YA! yuan ting is also coming on thursday.. Very long never talk to her alrady.. since she got the job at the singapore yatch club. She has been talking to rich men who can afford a US$40 million yatch lar! ok anw looking forward to this thursday..
